Each of the 3M adapters on this page are specifically designed adapters that allow painters to use PPS with virtually any spray gun model. 3M PPS is a system of disposable cups that can be used with any spray gun. When to use a 3M PPS Series 2.0 Adapter?
3M adapters can be used to convert typical spray guns to be able to work with the 3M 2.0 spray cup system. In other words, you would use one of these adapters when you have determined that you would like to use the disposable spray cup system instead of the re-useable cup that may have come with your spray gun.
How To Attach The PPS 2.0 Adapter to the Sprayer?
- Remove the existing spray gun cup from the sprayer. This is generally done by turning the cup counterclockwise.
- Simply thread the correct PPS adapter into the sprayer. This can generally be done by hand, but you may want to use a wrench to tighten securely.
- Assemble your 3M PPS Series 2.0 cup prior to attaching it to the adapter.
- Attach the disposable cups to the adapter by placing the adapter (with sprayer attached) onto the top of the disposable cup. Push down on the cup to push the adapter into place and then secure it by turning the sprayer a quarter turn clockwise.
